A part of the popular Ogun River which flows under the Kara Bridge around Ojodu Berger area of Lagos State shockingly turned into dry land on June 18th.
The Kara cattle market community under the bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway has become a Mecca of some sort as people besieged the community to see the dried section of the river which once provided water for the Kara cattle and ram market.
Residents of the area say they woke up in the morning on June 18th to see the river which served as one of their means of transportation where canoes were used to reach the dense waters, totally dry and it wasn’t like that the previous day. The surface of the water had become firm and people can now stand on the portion of the river. What could this be? More photos below...
