Eyes
tightly shut and snoozing sweetly these quadruplets appear to be oblivious to
the world around them.
The
photographer behind the pictures said the four identical sisters 'slept like
angels' while a team of six worked for three hours to get them in place for the
photo shoot without waking them up once.
Two-month-olds
Abigail, Mckayla, Grace and Emily Webb, from Alberta, Canada, were conceived
naturally - the chances of which approximately one in 15 million.
The
chance of having quadruplets without the aid of fertility treatments is one in
729,000, while identical siblings is even rarer.
Daily
Mail Online previously told how the children's parents Bethani, 22, and Tim,
23, had been planning to slowly start a family after getting married.
But when
the couple went for their first ultrasound they were surprised to find that
Bethani was pregnant with four children.
When
they were born in May, Abigail was born first, weighing three pounds. Next came
Emily, who weighed four pounds one ounce, then Grace, at three pounds 15
ounces, and finally McKayla, who was three pounds 11 ounces.
The
pictures, taken last month, show them arranged among flowers, inside a log,
sleeping in miniature rabbit suits, bundled up like little bears and in
matching all-white baby-grows surrounded by daisies.
Photographer Cassandra Jones, of Noelle Mirabella Photography, said the babies were first
quadruplets she has ever photographed and that they had to use hospital
bracelets to tell the difference between the girls.
She
said: 'The girls were all amazing. There were absolutely no tears during the
shoot. In fact, they did not even raise an eyelid. They slept like little
angels for the entire shoot.
'They
were so good that i managed to get five full set-ups with all of the girls
together and individual shots of each baby in three hours flat.
'An
average newborn session with a single baby lasts two to three hours, so I was
pleasantly surprised how much I was able to do with four babies.'
She said
everything - from the bunny bonnets to the bear hats and pastel colors - were
planned 'months in advance' because she had a 'very clear vision' for the
aesthetic of the pictures.
The hats, outfits and wraps were all custom-made for the shoot and Cassandra
carefully masterminded the outfits so that all she had to do was switch the
hats between poses without waking them up.
She
said: 'The hollow log and hollow stump were at a local park that I frequent
often and i figured they would be just the right size to accommodate four
little peanuts.
'They
were a pretty snug fit, but we managed to get them all in together and looking adorable.'
She had
five assistants working on the shoot - including one person per baby plus
another to help arranging flowers and props and lifting.
She
added: 'I really wanted Bethani [their mother] to be able to sit and relax and
not have to worry about anything. We had the perfect amount of hands. We were
all flat out with things to do to pull everything together.'
Speaking
to TODAY ahead of the birth, Bethani described the moment
she found out about the four girls.
'She
turned the screen and she started counting babies and she counted baby one,
baby two, baby three - I was thinking "OK you can stop at baby three. Baby
three is enough" - and she counted out the fourth baby,' she
said.
'I'm
definitely glad I was laying down because I could not believe that there were
four there. I thought there had to be some kind of mistake⦠my husband almost
fainted.
'He had
to sit down for a moment.'
The
couple did not use fertility drugs or in vitro fertilization to conceive their
children.
'It was
completely and totally natural. It was very spontaneous,' Bethani said.
Bethani had no complications in her 33.5-week pregnancy.
She said
the babies were very active and sometimes she felt two or three kick at a time.
Bethani
added that while she was excited for the babies, the notion of how much they
would need to care for them was overwhelming.
'I'm
thinking we have no van, we have no car seats, we have no crib. I thought we
were good just having one.
'Going
from one to four is like four times everything. Four strollers, four car seats,
four cribs. Diapers. Diapers everywhere,' Bethani said.
The
Webbs will use approximately 48 diapers a day now that their daughters have
arrived.
A friend of the couple has
started a GoFundMe page
to help the Webbs finance their four new additions.
